• Rice
Rice is the part of the grain that has been separated from the husk, bran, and germ. Apart from being a staple food source in Indonesia, rice has many benefits for the body. Rice contains carbohydrates, which have an important role in providing energy for the body. When consuming processed rice, the carbohydrates in it will be broken down into glucose, which will then be absorbed and enter the bloodstream. This glucose will be circulated throughout the body as fuel, especially for the brain.
• Bran
Rice bran is beneficial for health, among other things, as a natural antioxidant, has chemopreventive activity against colon, breast, lung, liver, and skin cancers, reduces the number of adenomas and intestinal bleeding, and can reduce the risk of colorectal polyp formation by 40%. Rice bran has an energy content of around 2,700 kcal/kg, so it can help regulate blood sugar levels in diabetics. The bran in Beras Karnus has been processed using a special technology so that it is not damaged and its essential nutrients are maintained, and it is carried out quickly after the bran is obtained from the rice milling plant. The special technology applied to rice bran in Beras Karnus includes preventing enzymatic reactions, a specific drying process, screening, and size reduction into fine particles.
